Technology to remove sulfur oxides (NOx) from flue gases for large combustion plants
Hrubý, Radomír ; Bojanovský, Jiří (referee) ; Jecha, David (advisor)
In the specified large combustion plant, fuel with a large content of sulfur is burned. The current desulfurisation method is not able to meet the new emission limits, therefore it is necessary to design an adequate desulphurisation method. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis contains a description of the legislation related to emission limits for large combustion plants and an analysis of individual technological methods of desulphurization together with a description of the relevant sorbents. The practical part of the work contains a design of dry conditioned sorption with the using of a calcium-based sorbent. The basic technological and structural design is designed together with the spatial solution and dispositional solution of the whole technology.
Sulfur dioxide emissions
Borýsek, Václav ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with emissions of sulphur oxides. First are described their properties, influence on human health and their impact on the environment. Next thesis deals with present situation of emissions and emission limits. After that selected methods of reduction of sulphur dioxide emissions are described and for representative technology mass balance has been made. Last part describes taken measurements and presents their results.
Brown Coal Power Plants in Czech Republic
Šperka, Radim ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
The thesis describes brown-coal power plants in the Czech Republic. The first part discusses brown coal as a mineral raw material, its mining in the Czech Republic, the impact of mining on the environment and ecological territorial limits.. The second part deals with the Thermo-dynamic working cycles in the power plant. Also deals with various technological parts of brown-coal power plant, including equipment and procedures for the cleaning of exhaust gases. The last part describes the most important individual brown-coal power plants in the Czech Republic, their brief history, the technical parameters and the planned service life.
Problems with sulphur and silicon in biogas
Holub, Radim ; Jecha, David (referee) ; Beňo, Zdeněk (advisor)
The main objective of this bachelor’s thesis is a description of a composition of biogas (BG) and contained undesirable components, which include especially sulphur and silicon compounds. In an introductory chapter is given a definition of the biogas, principle of its creation, chemical composition and a share of undesirable components. In following chapters are described single undesirable components, their properties and negative impact on parts of equipment using biogas. The following are the methods to reduce the critical concentration values of these components or their complete removal from biogas. In the thesis are also given practical solutions to eliminate these undesirable components.
Desulphurisation of flue gas from pulverzided coal boiler,Tp Olomouc
Kozumplík, Ondřej ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a desulphurisation device for the pulverized coal boiler K3 in heating plant Olomouc. In this boiler, coal with sulphur content is burnt. Emissions SOx from the boiler output are much higher than the emission limits for SOx, which comes into force 1.1.2016. Therefore it is necessary to build a desulphurisation device, which will cause a significant reduction of SOx emissions and compliance with the emission limits. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part states SO2 emission limits and describes various methods for flue gas desulphurisation. In the practical part I chose a semi-dry desulphurisation method with fluid reactor. It determines a stoichiometric amount of combustion air and determines the boiler efficiency. For the required parametres is given a calculation of desulphurisation, the design of some parts of the device and design arrangement.
Biogas composition
Čekanová, Adéla ; Pěček, Jan (referee) ; Beňo, Zdeněk (advisor)
Content of the submitted bachelor thesis is a description of biogas chemical composition with following analysis of each unit, especially majority units, with use of different gas analysis methods. Main emphasis is set on biogas units which have undesirable effects while using it as energy source and on possibilities of removing them using set technologies. In larger scale the bachelor thesis is concerned with teoretical possibilities of removing sulphur from biogas and following methods used in work experience.
Desulphurisation of flue gas fuidized bed boiler.
Miklík, Tomáš ; Slezák, Pavel (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a desulphurization device for the fluid boiler. In the fluid boiler, fuel with extremely high sulphur content is burnt and the combustion products are not desulphurized to the required level, therefore it is necessary to build a desulphurization device. The thesis consists of two parts – theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I stated the emission limits of sulphur dioxide, elaborated possible desulphurization methods and described the sorbets suitable for desulphurization. In the practical part I chose a dry desulphurization method with fluid reactor, to which a dry sorbent on the basis of lime hydrate is dosed. For the required parameters, I designed the whole desulphurization equipment including cloth filters, all necessary silos and major components. It is a design proposal with a layout and a spatial model.
Purification of flue-gas desulfurization
Křesťan, Jan ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is theoretical elaboration of flue-gas desulfurization and emission limits of sulphur dioxide. Thesis is divided into three parts. First part is about content of sulphur in fuel, formation of sulphur oxides and their influence on human health and environment. Second part is dedicated to sources of sulphur dioxide, present emission situation in the Czech Republic and emission limits of sulphur dioxide. The third part describes methods how to reduce emissions of sulphur dioxide, especially methods of flue-gas desulfurization. The thesis is based on technical texts, Czech laws about air pollution and data from the Czech hydrometeorological institute.
Reducing emissions of SO2 in the flue gas from the fluidized bed boiler
Tesař, Jan ; Jecha, David (referee) ; Brummer, Vladimír (advisor)
Aim of this thesis is to design a technology of a flue gas desulphurization of fluidized bed boiler. Currently, the state of technology is not able to provide flue gas desulphurisation to required level. For this reason it is necessary to build additional device for the desulphurisation. Theoretical part of the thesis deals with the emission limits of sulphur dioxide, available methods of desulphurization and sorbents suitable for the desulfurization. In practical part conditioned dry sorption method is chosen for the specified source, technological and structural design for suggested desulphurization technology including design of all device is proposed. The thesis also includes a technology design and a 3D model.
